Together with our friends from the outstanding TV show "Reload", we developed a virtual reality game to kick-start the first Oculus Rift VR glasses. Captain Sensitive is a superhero who flies through the city and hears the calls of women in distress. He has to save them from the most absurd situations before the calls fall silent. Naturally, it was played lying down and was controlled by body tracking with the Microsoft Kinect.
A magic mirror @ Pokémon GO Fest Berlin 2022
166 million people around the world regularly head out to catch Pokémons in parks, outdoor pools, pedestrian zones, behind walls and on mountaintops. And once a year, some of these avid catchers head out to attend the Pokémon GO Fest, which took place in Berlin this year.
Nerdindustries set out to surprise the visitors with a special augmented reality application for Niantic, developer of the Pokémon GO game. And we came up with the "Magic Mirror" experience. A 6 x 2.5 meter "window" into the world of Pokémon GO. Those who stood in front of the mirror suddenly saw their reflection as a virtual Pokémon Trainer, which imitated the user's every move 1:1.
In front of the augmented reality mirror, visitors could perform funny dance moves copied by their avatar. A 15 second video was recorded, which Pokémon Trainers could download to their phones and share on social media.
The multiplayer application allows three users to use the experience simultaneously. On average, a new video was generated and downloaded every two minutes during the three-day fest.
Clean the oceans from plastic waste!
adidas not only works continuously on sustainable product innovations, but also invests a lot in preserving our environment. This includes the fact that many products are now sustainably made from recycled plastic waste from the ocean. Children playfully harvest plastic waste from the sea and learn that a truckload of plastic waste ends up in our oceans every minute. Up to four children can play the game together, but not to outdo each other, but to join forces to remove even more plastic from the oceans. Watch our case film on the Sustainability Kids Game here:
As times change, retail is increasingly evolving from a pure sales floor to a "point of excitement" where customers interact with brands and look not only for new products but also for excitement. Young target groups in particular want to be entertained and not just perceived as mere consumers. With this in mind, we created, designed and developed the Sustainability Kids Game, which quickly became a core focal point in the kids area of adidas stores worldwide.
We operate globally in all markets for our customers. Not only do we ensure the scalability of the product, but we also support the individual markets directly. The Nerdindustries Operations Team takes care of the entire process. Starting with communication, international logistics, on-site installation and worldwide support.
Every retail experience should offer the possibility to stay in touch with the customers, even after they have left the store. That's why the Kids Game has a mobile version that users can download to their cell phones in the store and continue playing at home.
